Leaf is great new e-mag from www.leafmag.com. You can view it on line or purchase a hard copy. Love the articles especially as products shown take you straight to the suppliers website. Can't wait for the next issue.
Mark Ridsdill Smith is a great champion of growing veg in very small spaces. His web site, www.verticalveg.org.uk ,is well worth a visit as is his blog. Log on to download his very helpful 'The Art of Growing Food in Small Spaces which has some great tips for those of us trying to produce food on our balconies and in our small yards.
Available in a palette of over 100 RAL colours, the Flower Seat from www.capital-garden.com would make a statement in any yard. Constructed from fibreglass, the clever design allows rainwater to run off leaving the seat dry for use.
The Patch Birdie Box £19.99 from www.gardenbeet.com is a unique easy to assemble bird box that enables you to select which birds you want to nest in it by adjusting the entrance apperture size. Very clever and rather stylish.
I hope you enjoy my blogging scrapbook of all things relating to owning and living with a very small garden.
My own yard is only 5m x 5m so I understand the challenges involved in trying to use this small space to the full.
I have been involved all my working life with design, garden design, horticulture and garden retailing. At present I work as a buyer for a large South west garden centre.
I have a passion for good cutting edge design and plants that excite.
Frank.
