LOUNGING IN THE WHEELBARROW
Most of us have no need for a wheelbarrow in the size of gardens that we have but this wheelbarrow, the Loungebarrow, is something else. It is designed by the German design duo Sascha Urban and Dorothea Wirwall. The Loungebarrow is a wheelbarrow that easily transforms into a useable chair.

SEED SOWING WITH A TOUCH OF CLASS
Many moons ago when I started work on a nursery as a lad, there were no plastic seed trays only wood ones that we built in the potting shed on wet winter days.
Now these charming wood seed trays are available in a set of three for £9.95 from www.burgonandball.com. They are made from untreated pine to ensure no contamination and are slatted for drainage. For that extra touch, the large tray has the word 'seedlings' branded onto the side.

SNOW WHITE BEDDING
The Christmas Rose, Helleborus niger, is rarely in flower at Christmas when planted in open ground but does tend to flower earlier if planted in containers. The stunningly white flowers contrast well against their deeply cut dark green foliage. They do make great container plants when planted as young flowering plants which you can pick up from good garden centres for about £3.99. Underplant them with dwarf spring flowering bulbs such as the blue Grape Hyacinth, Muscari armeniacum or the deep blue Iris reticulata. These are now also available in pots ready to flower.
