Benches are often boring and utilitarian, sometimes decorative but not often stylish. But the 'Lightwave' bench designed by After Architecture is different.
Though designed as an exterior installation at New York's Cornell University campus, it would make a great statement in any yard. Formed from a grid of upright timbers with their sides painted in miriad colours, it glows at night with the help of internal lighting.
